Method of Operation

The HDP CS7 Cutter operates with efficiency and precision. The paper web, entering from a pre-processing module, is smoothly guided by a pinless infeed roller into the core of the machine: the high-performance rotary cutting cylinder. This cylinder employs a rotary knife to accurately cut the web into predetermined sheet lengths.

Immediately following the cut, sheets are transferred via a sheet outfeed conveyor to the designated post-processing module. The HDP CS7 Cutter seamlessly integrates with various downstream equipment, such as stackers or buckle folders, facilitating a complete finishing workflow.

A key feature is the integrated dynamic diverter. This intelligent system automatically identifies and ejects blank sheets generated during printer start-up or cleaning cycles, as well as any sheets cut during machine setup. This ensures that only quality production sheets reach the post-processing stage, minimizing waste and improving efficiency. Document control, vital for job integrity, can be managed through various methods including counters, separating marks, or barcodes, with markless control also available for applications like offsetting or stack separation.
